Battle on the Bayou

Event Description
No time to hibernate during the winter it's a perfect time to race! Grab your boards and head to Scully's on the bayou Dec 10, 2011 for a day of fun. First 100 registrants will automatically receive FIVE raffle tickets to enter into a raffle prize (see below) of their choice. LIVE remote during Race with 99ROCK. There will be Cash prizes, door prizes, pizza and beer for racers, as well as Drink and Food Specials at Scully's on... Race Day, and much more!
All proceeds benefit the Special Operation Warrior Foundation!
Events:
- 1 Mile Kids (13 and under)
- 2 Mile Rec Course
- 5 Mile Elite Course
- 1 Mile 12 oz Baton Relay
DIVISIONS:
- Mens and Womens Displacement and surfstyle (recreational course)
- Kids 13 and under Rec Division
- 12'6" Men's and Womens (Elite)
- 14' Mens (Elite)
ENTRY:
- $35 REC /KIDS
- $50 Elite
- $20/team relay
TIMELINE:
- 9:00-10:00 AM registraion
- 10:00am REC race and Childrens Race
- 11:00am ELITE Race
- **Relays will take place 20 minutes after the conclusion of the Elite Race Raffle, Door Prizes, and Awards Ceromony will begin immediatly after the end of Relay
PRIZES:
- Elite 12’6” Men’s Division First: $500 Second: $300 Third: $200
- Elite 12’6” Women’s Division First: $500 Second: $300 Third: $200
- Elite 14' Men's Division: First: $200 Second: $100 Third: $50
- Rec Division Mens and Womens Combined 1st Place Displacement: $100 1st Place Surf Style: $100
- Kids (13 and under) 1st Place: Axe Paddle
- RELAY Divison*: 1st Place Team: Axe Paddle *each member of the 4 person team will receive prize, all teams must consist of at least 1 female paddler. The relay will be 1 lap (1 mile) of the course, baton pass takes place at buoy. Prior to start of a members leg, they must drink a carbonated 12 oz beverage of choice.
